About Doubling Time

Doubling Time is a faceless channel on TikTok and YouTube that explains the math behind everyday money questions, one number at a time. This site holds the calculators from the videos, so you can run the same math with your own numbers.

How we work

• Every video shows one real number with the math on screen.
• Hypothetical rates are labeled as hypothetical, and each calculator opens with the video's own inputs.
• Rates and limits come from public sources (IRS, Federal Reserve, FDIC, Federal Student Aid, BLS), each with an "as of" date.
• Every result shows its formula with your numbers plugged in, so you can check it.

Corrections

If we get a number wrong, we fix it and note the date on the page.
